Unlike most commercial leathers, original vegetable tanned leather from Italy uses no chemicals or heavy metals in the production process, thus ensuring that the leather has been ethically made and is sustainable. Italian vegetable tanned leather is also world-renowned for its strength, durability, and quality. It’s the same kind of leather that’s used for men’s belts, horse saddles, the soles of fine Italian footwear, and even as armor (in history and in costumes). The serialized certificate card from the Consorzio Vera Pelle guarantees the leather’s origins and quality.
Quiddity bags also feature the signature alternating coloured stitches as a hallmark of its being one hundred percent sewn by hand. This type of stitch cannot be replicated by sewing machines and it also helps make the bag sturdier and protects the seam from coming apart.
Each Quiddity bag also comes with a limited 5 year warranty. Available in Volanato (the natural un-dyed shade of brown of the leather, which will patina into a golden brown over time, with use, and with exposure to the sun and elements, and will age beautifully) and Nero (the timeless, classic black), and with thread colour combinations that may be customised.
