Quiddity’s handsewn leather products feature our signature alternating coloured stitches. More than just a design element, this feature is our guarantee that each piece has been stitched by hand (since machines cannot replicate this stitch).
Our thread is sourced from Florence, Italy, and is made of a durable, multi-strand polyester. It is coated with beeswax for extra strength and protection. Unlike machine-sewn products which come apart once the thread has been broken or torn, handsewn leather uses two separate lines of thread. This means that should one line break, the seam will not come apart and will still hold together until the item can be brought to Quiddity for re-stitching (see our warranty policies).
